The surgery offers phlebotomy clinics on Wednesdays from 7.30am - 12.30pm and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am - 12.30pm. All of these appointment are bookable online or should you wish, please telephone the surgery to book an appointment Monday - Friday 8.00am to 6.30pm.


Please only request to book a blood test appointment at the surgery if you have been advised by a clinician.  If you have not been advised by a clinician to have a blood test, you will need to see one of our doctors before this appointment can be booked.  If you have been given forms from the hospital or another clinician to have a blood test, you must remember to bring the forms with you to your appointment otherwise our team are unable to perform your blood test.  PLEASE NOTE:  WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCESS BLOOD TESTS FROM MID ESSEX HOSPITALS, ADDENBROOKES HOSPITAL, LONDON HOSPITALS OR WEST SUFFOLK HOSPITAL.  PLEASE BE ADVISED TO REQUEST TO HAVE THE BLOOD TEST TAKEN BY THE REFERRER.


We advise all our patients who have had blood tests to call the surgery after 7 days to find out the results of your test on 01787 222022.  This is due to the samples are sent to Ipswich Hospital Pathology Labs to be tested and depending on the type of investigation, on some occasions these can take longer for the outcome to be received by the surgery.  On some occasions, on the advice of the clinicians, the surgery team will call you if further action is required.  If you have not had a call from the surgery then you are advised to telephone the surgery or view your results online if you have online access. 


Patients wishing to have their test done elsewhere can request blood test forms from the surgery to be taken to the Primary Care Centre, Turner Road, Colchester, Essex.  This service is available from Monday to Wednesday: 7am - 2pm.
